kargen rank	Sat Sep 03 20:51:47 2022 It was very poorly done. His team had to know for most of the speech the cameras would be tight on President Biden. CNN's feed of the speech is just the red background. The video CNN has posted on their site is just the red background. I'm guessing it all came from the same feed and was set up by President Biden's advance team. Patriotic or not you don't make the key color red for a variety of reasons. In the 1970s-80s fast food establishments used red and yellow to get customers to leave quicker. McDonalds when they started their come in have some coffee and enjoy a breakfast campaign changed the interior color scheme to earth tone pastels to make people feel more comfortable. Bad backdrop aside the lighting was horrible. They didn't take the time to color balance the light to give President Biden a more pleasing tone. When you are in an artificial lighting scenario and can control the light you should. Good lighting can help provide a positive response to the overall event. There was also a problem with the exposure. The light on the president either needed to be brighter or the camera aperture needed to be opened. A little more diffusion with the light also would have helped. The only reason to have that backdrop with that lighting is if they were trying to create an ominous feeling. If they did it on purpose those responsible should be canned. This speech makes me believe even more that someone behind the scenes is purposely trying to undermine and maybe even destroy what is left of Biden's political career.

kargen rank	Sun Sep 04 01:01:48 2022 Looks like CNN added magenta to the image to take the green off Biden's face. That and making the image lighter would cause the red to go pink. They were probably trying to get rid of the green tint on his face.
