My world has been permanently destroyed!!! Its hard to imagine I'll ever experience joy or happiness again. Everyone is in a state of shock and disbelief as everyone knows we will be paying for this for years to come.

What's the point? If he was that close to firing they should have done it after last season.

Retarded!

The real question is if we sat a bunch of 6-8 year olds down in classrooms and made them watch burning people jump from buildings.

That was a fun gen z fact that I was previously unaware of.

"The real question is if we sat a bunch of 6-8 year olds down in classrooms and made them watch burning people jump from buildings."

Is that the documentary on Russian oligarchs who crossed Putin? I haven't seen it yet.

As for Scott Frost getting fired, it's like...umm duh?

Dude wasn't qualified to run a program. The only reason he ever had success at the collegiate level was because he inherited a program that was about to breakout in a positive direction, and he just didn't get in the way.

He has no clue how to recruit or build team culture.

Dumb hire by Nebraska.

Just because someone wins a Ntl Championship as a quarterback doesn't mean he's going to magically know how to run a program.

I mean, case in point, is his dumb decision to call the plays for the first few years.

If you're the OC, who's coaching? Don't bring up successful examples in the NFL of bright young coaches. This is Scott Frost. Watch him speak. He's not the brightest bulb.

The first press conference where Scott Frost blamed the players and his staff instead of taking personal responsibility is when he should have been fired.

He's a terrible leader, makes dumb decisions in-game because he's trying to be the OC while head coaching and doing both terribly.

Scott Frost is like a Walmart version of Mike Zimmer.

Blame the players. Yeah. I'm sure that will work.

What does Scott Frost do well? I can't think of a single thing.

What does he suck at?

* Recruiting
* Leadership
* Team Culture
* In-game decisions
* Playcalling
* Hiring
* Skill development (Adrian Martinez anyone?)

Adrian Martinez, after 4 years of tutelage under Scott Frost, continued to put up garbage time numbers and break records while making dumb decisions in critical moments that lost every close game he ever played.

Sound familiar? Apple doesn't fall far from the tree ;)

What's really retarded is that he made it this far.

He should have been fired Sat, Sep 8, 2018, when his excuse for losing against Colorado was having the game against Akron getting cancelled.

If not then, he certainly should have been fired Sat, Sep 15, 2018, when his excuse for losing against Troy was "the players are not buying into my system".

Florida supplies ~ 20% of college football talent. Even after all the big time programs eat, there's plenty of talent left over to field a good 2nd tier college team. More than one really.

Things are a little different in Nebraska.

Also Nebraska doesn't get to play an American Athletic Conference schedule.

The Cornhuskers are going to have to forget what everyone else is doing and build their team to play a style that fits the talent that is readily available to them. That probably means going back to a run heavy offense.

Not true. They have had top 25 recruiting classes for the majority of the past 25 years.

The problem isn't the talent. They should have a bowl game each year with their recruiting classes.

Here are the recruiting rankings

2005: 8
2006: 21
2007: 19
2008: 24
2009: 40
2010: 26
2011: 16
2012: 31
2013: 22
2014: 35
2015: 29
2016: 26
2017: 23
2018: 23
2019: 18
2020: 10
2021: 25
2022: 32

In this span, they went to 11 bowl games from 2005-2016.

Not a single one since.

Pretty obvious where the problem is and it has nothing to do with talent.
