You guys define fascist as anyone who doesn't support open borders.

Meanwhile, you fuckers have literally embraced socialism and cultural Marxism, and tearing down any institutional checks and balances of our system of government that prevent unhindered unilateral rule by the left.

Who are the extremists, again?

This was in reference to Meloni winning in Italy.

But the point he is arguinf against still seems to stand.

Ive yet to see a good reason why they call her Fascist.

The only answers I see are

1. Her party traces its roots to Fascist parties.

But the same people would deny the US democratic party being the same as the KKK.

Or the Green party"s roots in Nazism.

2. She hates gays & immigrants.

3.Because people have compared her to Mussolini.

But other than immigration and pro family, they can't say what her policies are that are fascist.

People wouldn't say Greta Thunburg is actually Hitler because of her ties to the eco movement & animal welfare.

Paramount, that joke does not work, the armband signifies party membership. Your average German soldier in WW2 wasn't running around with the armband.

@Rugian,

"You guys define fascist as anyone who doesn't support open borders."

That's a disingenuous comment. Lots of conservatives do not support open borders, but aren't broadly considered fascists.

Something they have in common is 1) they are actually patriotic, which includes an affinity for the rule of law and democratic institutions, and 2) opposition to prominent authoritarians, especially, well, the primary authoritarian of the day in the US.

The fact that those conservatives are becoming fewer and farther in between says more about that movement than anything else.

It amazes me the party that wants to routinely ban various guns, the left doesn't see that as authoritarian in anyway shape or form.

If they want to limit how young you can kill a fetus, that they think is Fascist.

Supporting mass censorship and even doing so by having the government align with massive corporationsnto limit dissent, basically the most fundamental Fascist thing you could think of, that they say is preserving democracy.

Or look at the DOJ recently. Even if you think everyone of those FBI/DOJ actions were justified.

If you seen this in almost any other country, wouldn't you consider that.... Authoritarian?

Maybe Hitler, Stalin, Mao all had political opponents that actually broke the law.

"If Nazi Germany [were] today"

Subjunctive, you heathens ;p

..
[ep]: "Something they have in common is ... opposition to prominent authoritarians, especially, well, the primary authoritarian of the day in the US ... The fact that those conservatives are becoming fewer"

Given that the prominent authoritarian of the day in the U.S. is Biden — the totalitarian psychopath pedophile who had a total state speech only weeks ago that should be a wake-up call for all the misled persons who voted for him — it is incorrect to say that those conservatives are becoming fewer. Most conservatives are against Biden's totalitarianism.

It is at least impressive that the total state has convinced the outer party proles that its tyranny would be benevolent. It has used Newspeak very effectively to make people believe that freedom ("freedumb", they call it) and individuality are enemies of "our democracy", and those proles, being ignorant of history, still have not made the connection between this latest iteration and the Bolsheviks who lauded "our democracy" while establishing its total-state managerialism.

It's really insane to not think the Biden administration is not a drastic increase of authoritarianism, much closer towards the bad parts of Fascism.

Because not every aspect of Fascism, Nazism even were all evil. It's important we recognize WHY they were bad.

Lowering the retirement age, protecting endangered animals for example no one would claim that by itself to be Fascist, but they were clearly part of it.

The extreme control/oppression of civil rights, violently attacking opposition, censoring dissent with Truth ministries, using the police/courts against political rivals, mass murder, pro war.

These are the evil parts of Fascism.
