You know how you drink that gross stuff that makes your Poop white so they scan your digestive track on imaging? Or how luminol glows blue reacting to iron. I wondered what could be mixed in water that could still mostly pass through small cracks that could perhaps change temperate. Infrared is already used to discover leaks in roofing, but it isn't that great. But if we could find something that chemically reacted heating up in contact with water so as to stick out more it could be easier to spot the path of the leak. Temperature is just one route since its easy to measure and already used widely in roofing. Yes, the top of the roof would entirely be warmer as well, but that trickles path between the top and the ceiling leak should heat up more than the rest of the ceiling interior, right? Simple dyes are of limited help because they only see what your eye can see.

On the other hand, the earth, as it turns out, is a microscopic, molecular speck of an atom of a dust particle in the multiuniverse, billionths the size of other objects out there. So if light moves around a tiny molecule 7 times in 1 second, is it in fact really slow? Is whether you think of it as incredibly fast or pretty sludgy, dependent on your perspective?

I know of another thing that cannot move backwards in the universe. Things that enter a black hole. I wonder if there is a connection. If time is sucked into a one way cul de sac for similar reasons as time, space and light get sucked into a similarly inescapable one way street in a black hole, if time in fact is defined as movement in the universe, which, if completely still would not have time
