So they were able to let inflation kill people financially, artificially flood the country with cheap workers to drive down wages and have the haul to say that people working more for less money is a good economy....

Really guys, no recession. Everything is GrEaT!

For the average DC swamp creature making six figures, inflation is more of an inconvenience than a serious issue. So yeah, of course they think everything is great.

"Ever wonder why union construction jobs are so rare in your neck of the woods?"

Nope. Unions are all but dead outside of government work.

As far as I know we still do. And it's not people that say that, it's industry groups.

No shortage of jobs here in Maine. Wages have gone up. The real shortage in Maine is affordable housing.

"it's not people that say that, it's industry groups."

I couldn't have said it better myself.

People do not say we have a shortage, it was the leverage upon which wages would rise.

Now these "industry groups" who's goal is to pay as little as possible say "We have worked shortages" , but we don't, we have the people if they offer appropriate compensation.

That makes absolutely no sense. Worker shortages mean wages go up.

Murder, supply and demand only means that sellers can demand as much as they can get away with.

Fewer workers increases a workers value, yes.

Flooding the market with cheap labor drives wages down.

I'm not sure what part your having trouble with?

"I'm not sure what part your having trouble with?"

The part where you think that industry can drive wages down by claiming a worker shortage.
