When I click on a link in any tweet i get: "{"errors":[{"message":"Your current API plan does not include access to this endpoint, please see https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api for more information","code":467}]}"

This is happening to others I know too.

Remember how I said that slashing all the staff wouldn't make Twitter immediately stop working like it was a bicycle bring pedalled by Devs, but the loss of key knowledge without identifying it and ensuring handover would result in accumulation of really embarrassing failures in live?

There have been increasingly more and more of these.

Ho hum.

Are you going directly to their site, or are you using some 3rd party app to try to access it?

I hit Refresh Grandpa and now he's energetically talking about how he feels good enough to start killing Krauts and banging candy stripers by the dozen again.

How a single engineer brought down Twitter
[...]
But in a sign of just how deep Elon Musk’s cuts to the company have been, only one site reliability engineer has been staffed on the project, we’re told. On Monday, the engineer made a “bad configuration change” that “basically broke the Twitter API,” according to a current employee.

Yeah ... and that single engineer is named Elon.

Reminds me of british airways scheduling software.

Sam:

Yeah, and the same cause: misunderstand dev-ops, sack all your QA and Test capabilities, sweat your engineers to breaking point and have them deploy changes to live with inadequate testing in the name of efficiency.

Nim:

You sound like a pilot of an aeroflot service circa late 90's

"Da, do not worry comrade. Engine often make smoke in cabin like that. Is no Worry. Plane can fly with only one. And fresh air get in cabin through hole in fuselage. Decadent westerner"

Now getting investigated by FTC over privacy concerns, and fallen into the obvious trap of publicly disclosing and mocking the health condition of an employee whose actually the former owner of an acquisition owed a huge amount of money if sacked.

Utter genius that man.

You actually think a website being offline for a 15 minutes is comparable flying on an airplane with questionably airworthiness?

Tell me you need time away from the internet without… you know how it goes.

Nim:

Do you actually think that is a sensible interpretation of what I wrote?

Perhaps you should best try and understand people in their own language, history and cultural tradition.

Nim clearly thinks it is engineering best practice to push out a breaking change to live that is so extensive it denies your own service access to its own APIs.

Nim, as you will recall (and as he recently reminded us all with his accidental self doxing) is a Quality Control specialist.

Trick question, it implies that the things you write have sensible interpretations.

If we assumed that things don't exist just because you are incapable of conceiving of them, you would exist in a void.

Listen man, you have been mentally preparing for this API scandal since Musk announced his intentions to buy twitter, been pumping yourself so deluded that you compare if to an airplane ride from hell. I can’t begin to imagine all the things wrong in your life for you to reach this point.

Nim:

"You sound like a pilot..."

In this sentence, who is the subject being compared to what?

We will need evidently need to do this step by step as Nim is a bit slow.

"Mentally preparing" - seems an odd way of saying "correctly predicted would happen if you slash engineering overnight in a disorderly fashion".

Also funny how Nim seems to have forgotten all the other bits of glithcy rolled back deployments Twitter has had.

Reuters @Reuters

Twitter said parts of its source code were leaked online on Github, a Microsoft-owned platform for sharing code for software development, by a user named 'FreeSpeechEnthusiast'
