NATO’s Stoltenberg says that he support Turkey’s ambition to join the EU. What the hell has Stoltenberg/NATO have to do with countries wanting to join the EU? Do countries have to have support by NATO now in order to join? Why doesn’t Stoltenberg just shut up?

And you wouldn't have to deal with a bunch of crazies that don't share your values. Turkey has been choosing its path for decades now, and NATO has chosen to tolerate it and to let Turkey run the show.

Nimatzo iChihuaha	Sat Dec 09 05:57:21 I guess we will not be joining NATO. I rather have bilateral defense agreements with the UK, USA, France etc. than allow Turkey to join the EU. Joining NATO is in the good to have category for Sweden, not essential. NATO should however consider dissolving and reconstructing again, without Turkey.
