"CNN — The International Brotherhood of Teamsters declined to endorse a presidential candidate on Wednesday after releasing internal polling that showed a majority of its members supported former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris.

It’s the first time in nearly three decades that the union has not endorsed a presidential candidate.

Ahead of the decision, the Teamsters shared internal data showing that a majority of members supported Trump over Harris. According to an electronic member poll that was initiated after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race, about 60% of members believed the union should endorse Trump while 34% supported Harris. About 6% said they supported another candidate.

The last time the Teamsters sat out a presidential election was 1996. It endorsed Democratic nominees in the ensuing six elections, including Trump’s opponents Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Biden in 2020. The union last backed a Republican presidential candidate in 1988, with an endorsement of George H.W. Bush."

Let's concede the point that Trump is not exactly the best friend of the labor unions.

The question is would those union members do any better under Harris? They experienced the same 20% inflation as the rest of us; they know that her policies would harm the economy and markets; they see her disingenuously changing her policy positions on a dime or refusing to specify them altogether.

This is before we even get into Harris' social policies, which are considered to be absolute dogshit by everyone outside of California.

There are no good options in this election...so you go for the least bad one, which in this case is Trump.

Democrats bailed out the pension plan.

Republicans wanted a bill that would discover why the pension plan needed to be bailed out and how to stop another near collapse.
Democrats only helped those within a year or two of retiring by fucking the entire country with a huge spending bill. The pension bail out was just a little taste of how much money the bill will waste.
