The majority of both are shitholes full of stupid people. There are some very nice spots in both. EU cities are better than US cities on average. US wealthy rural areas are the best of all. Its generally better to be in the US if you are rich, EU if you are poor. Europe is too crowded.

This myth that the US is more violent than Europe, must stop. We have covered this issue twice on this forum, the last tome with seb, as I was arguing the civilizing effects of guns. Places like UK, Norway Sweden etc, have significantly higher rates of violence as measured by assaults and not just gun crimes, than the USA. This is shown in comprehensive studies making apple to apple comparisons, as well as crime victomizatiom data. Scotland has the highest levels of violence in the entite OECD.
