“Education” is very vague. Women studies counts as “higher” education. Such a woman is far less attractive than an electrician who went to trade school. I recently met a guy from New Zeeland, he only finished high school, he operates a 75 million dollar company. Furthermore merit, is more than education.

Another issue is how watered down degrees have become, and the inflation in both degrees and programs. I think we reached peak edumacation 10 years ago. Things were already in decline when I was in university.

Someone who got a masters in African studies is pretty useless in any job outside of teaching African studies.
