Utopia Talk / Politics / Biden's pardons declared void
Rugian
Member | Mon Mar 17 07:55:28 Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump The “Pardons” that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen. In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them! The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime. Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their two year Witch Hunt of me, and many other innocent people, should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level. The fact is, they were probably responsible for the Documents that were signed on their behalf without the knowledge or consent of the Worst President in the History of our Country, Crooked Joe Biden! http://tru...Trump/posts/114175908922736427 |

Member | Mon Mar 17 08:33:32 Biden didn't have to sign them. He just had to think it and the people were magically pardoned. Even now he can still pardon people just by simply thinking it. I hear that's how things work. - |

Member | Mon Mar 17 08:37:38 I actually find this funny. I remember arguing with morons claiming that Biden had to pardon people because Trump would illegally prosecute them otherwise. As if an outlaw would give two shits about pardons. |
Rugian
Member | Mon Mar 17 08:37:39 In all seriousness, the Autopen argument is kind of silly. Unless Trump can prove that Biden legitimately didn't know or approve of the pardons before his signature was applied to them, I don't see him prevailing in court. |

Member | Mon Mar 17 08:51:16 I don't think he cares. He's signalling more and more that he doesn't accept restraints from the law or the courts or from Congress. He's floating authoritarian messages to see how people react. Little by little he's testing the waters. This is what people voted for. People voted for Jan 6th. - |

Member | Mon Mar 17 09:08:49 How is that any different from the Biden administrations practice of implementing policies that they knew were probably unconstitutional, but that they still would keep in place for as long as the courts hadn't yet ruled against them? For better or worse, this is a standard exercise of the modern American presidency. Test the limits of your authority to see what you can get away with. |

Member | Mon Mar 17 11:09:56 Rugian: "for as long as the courts hadn't yet ruled against them?" I can see the obvious distinction. |
Seb
Member | Mon Mar 17 11:10:43 If you just ignore the courts, as seems to be increasingly the situation, what are the limits? |

the wanderer | Mon Mar 17 14:30:59 his lying ass press secretary lied that he wasn't declaring them void just pondering the issue & when asked if any evidence of Trump's declaration that Biden unaware, she told the reporter to figure it out for herself so completely made-up bullshit plus attempted corrupt abuse of power... but let's overlook it, like always |
Rugian
Member | Mon Mar 17 15:35:30 Seb What makes you believe that Trump is ignoring the courts? There was one situation where a judge ordered a plane already in flight to turn around and the message didn't get through. Other than that, the Trump administration appears to be responding to adverse court rulings by going through the appeals process. |

Member | Mon Mar 17 15:52:33 This sounds sketchy AF.... A POTUS has basically unlimited pardon power with regards to federal crimes. |

Member | Mon Mar 17 16:56:34 Trump is going to lose this one. He is getting a bit drunk with power and needs to reel it back a notch or three. |

the wanderer | Mon Mar 17 17:40:55 the adults already claim he didn't say what's still written in all caps on his feed i wonder who is really running the gov't... |
kargen
Member | Mon Mar 17 18:59:11 you don't really wonder that. You just want to be able to say it once because all the Republicans got to wonder and say it on a daily basis when Biden was the figurehead. You know exactly who is running the country and that is why you are3 so pissy. |
Seb
Member | Tue Mar 18 03:31:57 Rugian: Well it's pretty obvious why I believe he's ignoring the courts given we both agree he has. N.b. govt lawyers didn't claim it was because the "message didn't get though". |

Member | Tue Mar 18 09:19:25 Random district judges claiming the power to turn planes around mid-flight to bring back violent cartel members who are setting up IEDs on our border, so that they can abuse our courts lol |
Seb
Member | Tue Mar 18 09:31:51 Forwyn: "Random district judges claiming the power" Yes, that's how the judicial system works. Judges interpret the law and can tell the executive to stop or even reverse actions that are in breach of the law. If you don't have that, you don't have rights period. Just temporary privileges the executive can remove. This is basic foundational Magna Carta shit - the king is not above the law. What do you want? You have no ability as an individual to seek enforcement of your rights except by pleading your case to some special super judge? |

Member | Tue Mar 18 09:36:17 I know, just vaguely cry about muhhh judicial system, and issue TRO's like candy. There is no limit. The executive does not even have power over probationary executive employees. The executive can not fly out foreign enemy combatants. LOL. No one sane gives a fuck. Cartel members have no rights. |

Member | Tue Mar 18 10:22:08 It is pretty wild that liberals and leftists are literally trying to defend murderers, rapists and thieves who are here illegally. Like. Trump derangement is so bad that they would give their wives to isis if trump told them not too. |

the wanderer | Tue Mar 18 11:32:14 el poisonero, totally willing to proceed thru the regular process: " This Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge, a troublemaker and agitator who was sadly appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, was not elected President - He didn’t WIN the popular VOTE (by a lot!), he didn’t WIN ALL SEVEN SWING STATES, he didn’t WIN 2,750 to 525 Counties, HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING! I WON FOR MANY REASONS, IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, BUT FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAY HAVE BEEN THE NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THIS HISTORIC VICTORY. I’m just doing what the VOTERS wanted me to do. This judge, like many of the Crooked Judges’ I am forced to appear before, should be IMPEACHED!!! WE DON’T WANT VICIOUS, VIOLENT, AND DEMENTED CRIMINALS, MANY OF THEM DERANGED MURDERERS, IN OUR COUNTRY. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!! " =========================== " "If cartel members can't have their day in court, do we even have a democracy?" The mind of a Seb " should be the mind of everyone... jesus... they are really conditioning you to accept the law shouldn't apply to those who you don't like (or who they claim are people you don't like) the lying autocrat says they are murderers, the lying autocrat sends them to a 3rd party nation's inhumane prison using a fucked up interpretation of law... no need to review... totally fine! this is the prison by the way: http://ich...c97-888b-4f0f85cd194e.jpg.webp (23.5 hrs a day in cells of approx 80 people, no mattresses, one barrel to drink water from) let's just trust the lying autocrat is properly identifying people i guess? (since you accept no review needed) |

the wanderer | Tue Mar 18 11:39:38 here's the law they are trying to abuse: http://usc...itle50/chapter3&edition=prelim "Whenever there is a declared war between the United States and any foreign nation or government, or any invasion or predatory incursion is perpetrated, attempted, or threatened against the territory of the United States by any foreign nation or government..." the lying regime edits out the "by any foreign nation or government" part when trying to claim it applies it's certainly not clearly lawful (to any non-cultist)... & seems unlawful to me if they grab you & throw you in that prison & tell media you were a gang member (that somehow represents a nation or government), do you want recourse or not? |
Forwyn
Member | Tue Mar 18 12:18:59 "the law shouldn't apply to those who you don't like" Those who behead civilians and leave bags of heads on the side of the road, shoot farmers, and set up IEDs on our border. It's not about liking, these are foreign combatants. Any cell is more humane than the treatment they deserve. "by any foreign nation or government" Numerous cases of uniformed Mexican soldiers shooting at US citizens to distract for human traffickers at the border. The Mexican resists any tangible attempts to mitigate human and drug trafficking. They are complicit in the invasion. We didn't declare war on a nation when we went after Barbary pirates - even though they were both illicitly and outwardly supported by official Ottoman states. |

Member | Tue Mar 18 13:01:27 Yeah tw is just an idiot. He also refused to acknowledge cartel members were storming Colorado apartment complexes despite seeing video of it. The guy is not mentally there anymore. |

the wanderer | Tue Mar 18 14:53:31 "Numerous cases of uniformed Mexican soldiers shooting at US citizens to distract for human traffickers at the border" how is this relevant? the invocation specifically cites the gang Tren de Aragua (& only Tren de Aragua) ------------ "He also refused to acknowledge cartel members were storming Colorado apartment complexes" i denied they had taken over apartment complexes (or whole cities as fuckhead massively exaggerated)... it was a lie by a slum lord to take blame off himself |

Member | Tue Mar 18 15:51:13 Yeah, just ignore the video and witnesses who dealt with it. Trust legacy media. |
Forwyn
Member | Tue Mar 18 16:35:07 "how is this relevant?" You're whining about lack of foreign nation of government involvement. Foreign nations have been involved in human trafficking to the United States. Trump's failure to mention this - because he's trying to get them to cooperate - does not mean it isn't true. |
tumbleweed
the wanderer | Tue Mar 18 18:12:47 he didn't fail to mention anything... it's entirely (as in 100%) about Tren de Aragua & they are trying to claim the gang is working on behalf of Venezuelan gov't to pretend law applies back semi on topic: "The “Pardons”... are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT" is fucking crazy & the reason he wants the pardons invalidated is to go after his political foes based on NO evidence of wrong-doing is also fucking crazy (& dangerous)... & what R's supposedly oppose "This judge... should be IMPEACHED" (while citing his claim of winning popular vote by a lot & other completely irrelevant nonsense) is fucking crazy his release of water from reservoirs in CA, believing it would 'dampen' the land & help the LA fires was fucking crazy (NOBODY was asking for that release or thought it would help, not even the farmers who originally got him obsessed w/ CA water) him claiming Zelensky was a dictator w/ 4% approval was fucking crazy him claiming Canada tariffs were about fentanyl was fucking crazy him telling the DOJ that CNN & MSNBC are illegal is fucking crazy him lying every time he speaks on every issue is fucking crazy yadda yadda... |
