Decent looking bike but Harleys have a mystique and culture to them that kind of bike isn't going to replace. Could be a popular bike cutting into other markets but Harley will be good.

Yupp. I used to hang out with a gang of Harley enthusiasts. Even though the HD was their thing, they all said that they break down all the time and if you want to go for a long bike trip across Europe, dont use an HD

Sales abroad of iconic US brands like overpriced Gibson guitars, HD etc. have always been tied to the image of the US sold by things like oh-so-hated-among-US-patriots-Hollywood and the US entertainment industry as a whole. Now that the US is now longer identified with freedom etc. in the free world, all that shit also loses its attraction and market shares.

I suppose it has to do with things like redneck GOPers never can afford to leave their country and are utterly clueless about everything beyond their local mall, while educated liberals can and to their surprise discover that, hey, thanks to the US entertainment industry, we're popular wherever we go and it also creates trillions of dollars for our industries like Coke and Levis jeans! Go the entertainment industry!

Back in 70 my brother and I both bought 750 Hondas. At the time they were the first to hit the east coast. We had a real good friend who was a die hard Harley owner. We took a road trip from Bucks County Pa. to Darlington SC for the Southern 500. Our bikes were getting a little over 60 mpg. Our friend had to stop every 200 miles for gas. On one stop Buck asked to try my bike for a while. I rode his, after only 50 miles I demanded my bike back. Couldn't wait to get off that vibrating noisy POS.

HD is what all their products start with when you go to a Harley store. Hundred Dollars. T-Shirts, hats, keychains, etc. Hundred Dollars on up ;)

HD is definitely going to get hit by counter tariffs. Afterservice seems a pretty important part of the company's business model (repairing what breaks all the time), so perhaps it will be fine.

Trumps latest tariff thing about all non-usa cars will not only directly harm fElon, which is very enjoyable, it also begins to force Japan, the one democracy to own huge amounts of US govt bonds that is trying to stay out of any fights between the US and the free world, over to our side
