"You violated the rules. You are not entitled to due process!" -- Victoria Spartz (R) US Representative from Indiana

Another MAGA brain surgeon.

Some fancy editing happening there. I think we call it cherry picking.
This is her entire response to a question.

"We have to make sure that we get that border under control. I've been to that border many times. It's insanity," Spartz said as the crowd booed. "When you seek asylum, wait in the other country ... There is no due process if you come here illegally because you violated the law. Period! You violated the law, you are not entitled to due process."

She is wrong they do still get due process. Their process isn't the same though and they can be just shipped out after a brief interview.

An "interview" with an ICE official is not due process.

not for a citizen no but those who cross our borders illegally don't get the same rights. And an interview was good enough when Obama was in the white house.
During Obamas tenure as president they would be held in cages (remember the photos of children main stream media tried to pass off as being under Trumps first term) and a tribunal would interview them. Most were sent home after that interview.

"not for a citizen no but those who cross our borders illegally don't get the same rights."

And how do you know they aren't US citizens?

"(remember the photos of children main stream media tried to pass off as being under Trumps first term)"

No? Any link?

"‘Kids in cages’: It’s true that Obama built the cages at the border. But Trump’s ‘zero tolerance’ immigration policy had no precedent
The two claims at the core of the exchange — that Obama built the cages and Trump did something unprecedented with them — were not wrong. But the wider context and history were missing."

I found the AP openly agreeing that they published photos taken under Obama and then removed them after realizing it was incorrect. But they also provide a whole more context,

"At the height of the controversy over Trump’s zero-tolerance policy at the border, photos that circulated online of children in the enclosures generated great anger. But those photos — by The Associated Press — were taken in 2014 and depicted some of the thousands of unaccompanied children held by President Barack Obama
The Obama administration separated migrant children from families under certain limited circumstances, like when the child’s safety appeared at risk or when the parent had a serious criminal history.

But family separations as a matter of routine came about because of Trump’s “zero tolerance” enforcement policy, which he eventually suspended because of the uproar. Obama had no such policy."

Actually, I misread. They didnt publish them as taken under Trump. Posters online did.

the interview and just a tiny bit of reasoning usually does it. Reasoning, I know that is a tough concept for some.

"the interview and just a tiny bit of reasoning usually does it. Reasoning, I know that is a tough concept for some."

You mean the people that pick them up act as judge, jury, and executioner, at the direction of the President whose orders they follow.

Trump could have you picked up and deported to El Salvador and you'd have no recourse because as an illegal immigrant you have no right to due process.
