Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

I told Canada, which very much wants to be part of our fabulous Golden Dome System, that it will cost $61 Billion Dollars if they remain a separate, but unequal, Nation, but will cost ZERO DOLLARS if they become our cherished 51st State. They are considering the offer!

Unless, by "considering" you mean "laughing at", the thread title is a complete lie

I think it’s an offer they can’t resist.

If Canada is smart they will go for it. I mean if China attacks Canada and invades them, they will want to have protection from the US mafia.

Canada doesn't need a "Golden Dome". The only threat to Canada is their neighbor to the South.

China can't invade Canada. China can't even invade Taiwan.

"The only threat to Canada is their neighbor to the South."

And that threat will go away as soon as they become our cherished 51st state. Which will then mean that theyll need the same protection as any other part of the US, hence the Golden Dome.

The logic is impeccible, you have to admit.

So repulsed were Canadians by the idea of joining Trump’s United States that they elected an outsider liberal anti-Trump candidate as prime minister, boycotted American products en masse, and even started warming to the monarchy again as a way of distinguishing themselves from their southern neighbor.

That was why King Charles III, the reigning monarch of Canada, was invited to open the Canadian parliament on Tuesday for the first time in nearly 50 years.

Canadian prime minister Mark Carney made it clear who the visit was aimed at.

“Canada has a steadfast defender in our sovereign,” he said when announcing the visit earlier this month. He said the King “would open parliament with a speech from the throne, and that clearly underscores the sovereignty of our country.”

What he really meant was that Canada already has a King, thank you very much, Donald, and its own history, a parliament, and a national anthem, and it doesn’t want to be a part of the United States under any circumstances.

The display must have been excruciating for Trump, who has made no secret of his desire to become a king and lives in a gaudy replica of a palace himself, to watch his nemesis to the north with real royalty.

Trump fawned last month when he received an invitation from King Charles for a state visit in September, and here was the upstart Carney already starring in his own buddy movie with him.

This is why communication with zombies like you is eternally an exercise in utter futility. You are endlessly stupid and wrong on every morsel of any subject.

Imagine being a person who, like Tardo, says really, really stupid things - and inside his head it sounds really clever. Lol

"Due to threat of US involvement lol"

The only involvement Taiwan needs is US weapons, and they don't need to be top of the line. Smart weapons make invasions a nightmare. Particularly amphibious and air assault and airborne operations.

It would be a shooting gallery. They can sink your ships and blow your planes and helos out of the sky, but you can't sink their island.

China can make tons of rubble, but they can't invade. The best they can do is try to blockade it into submission.

Canada is looking to join the EU

Seventy-five cents of every dollar of capital spending for defence goes to the United States. That's not smart," Carney told host David Cochrane.

Canada has been engaged in talks with the European Union since Carney took office — before the spring federal election — about joining the plan which foresees the nations on the continent spending $1.25 trillion on defence over the next five years.

"We're making great progress on that, and by Canada Day we'd like to see something concrete there," Carney said.

The US should place more tariffs and sanctions on Canada now. They need to learn that it’s smarter to buy weapons from the USA. And if they become the 51st state it is even smarter for them.

Carney says Canada is looking to join major European military buildup by July 1
'By Canada Day we'd like to see something concrete there,' PM tells Power & Politics

Prime Minister Mark Carney signalled he hopes Canada will be able to sign on to a major European defence rearmament plan by July 1, a step toward reducing the country's dependency on the United States for weapons and munitions.

He made the remarks on CBC's Power & Politics following the speech from the throne, which committed his government to joining ReArm Europe.

The speech did not set out a timeline, but Carney said he wants to move aggressively.
