She is a NOBODY! https://th...er-music-in-white-house-video/ Sabrina Carpenter blasts ‘disgusting’ use of her music in White House video Pop musician Sabrina Carpenter on Tuesday blasted the White House for using one of her songs in a video showing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents making arrests. Shared on the social media platform X, the video features Carpenter’s 2024 song “Juno,” with the lyric “have you ever tried this one?” running on a repeat alongside a montage of ICE agents arresting, confronting, tackling and handcuffing people. The lyric, a reference to different sexual positions, is posted as a caption followed with “Bye bye.” “This video is evil and disgusting,” Carpenter replied to the White House’s post. “Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.” The White House had “a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter,” spokesperson Abigail Jackson said. “We won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?” Various artists and content creators have criticized the White House for using their music or other material for promotional videos or posts without permission. One notable example is the use of the Pokémon theme for an ICE promotional video in September, which prompted the Pokémon Co. International to respond. “Our company was not involved in the creation or distribution of this content, and permission was not granted for the use of our intellectual property,” the Pokémon Co. International said in a statement. In October, Kenny Loggins similarly asked for Trump to not use his music for his campaign after the president used “Danger Zone” in an AI-generated video on “No Kings Day” featuring Trump in a jet dumping brown liquid on protesters. “This is an unauthorized use of my performance of ‘Danger Zone,'” Loggins said in a statement. “Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately.” A slew of artists during the 2020 election campaign urged Trump to not use their music, from Creedance Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty to Phil Collins. The Rolling Stones, Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie, and the estates of Tom Petty and Leonard Cohen were among the many artists who told Trump to cease and desist from playing their music while campaigning. |

rank | Tue Dec 02 23:45:28 The Trump administration specifically and Republicans in general steal anything that isn't nailed down. Just yesterday Def Secretary Pete Hegseth used Franklin the Turtle without authorization. The Republican attitude is "if we want it, we'll take it, fuck you!" Which explains why they are the party of rapists and child molesters. - |
