A lot of jewish Bolsheviks wanted a return to his "A Few Good Men" (1992) days of subtly where he could hide jewish imperatives behind a character like Kevin Pollak's, where a narrative of these United States was further falsified as "[we have to protect the weak (i.e., Israel)]" (literally the sub-text of that movie; re-watch it if you didn't recognize this)... but Reiner just became a generic shitlib tumblefag with TDS in his final years. It's an unfortunate sendoff for someone who joked in "Princess Bride" (1987) that jews started wars between nations not their own to expand their own tribal power (Vizzini the "Sicilian" was cast by the jewish Wallace Shawn who delivered this line). People used to be able to joke about these things because the idea was that audiences would see it as grotesque and something to be discouraged or would otherwise pretend that it's not actually jews who have done it for centuries.

Incidentally, the lesson of "Wag the Dog" was that jewish agitprop must work towards collective jewish interests but not betray its meta to the wider public. The jewish producer within that movie (i.e., a character within the external movie, the external movie being by jewish director Barry Levinson) was a stand-in for this principle, yet many jews themselves are surprised by this lesson. They are encouraged by their rabbis to make agitprop throughout their entire careers, but they're not supposed to be *too* open about it or seek personal credit for their contributions past a certain limit.
