Trump's Approval Rating Drops to 36%, New Second-Term Low

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump’s job approval rating has fallen five percentage points to 36%, the lowest of his second term, while disapproval has risen to 60%. The latest decline follows three months of stability, with 40% to 41% of Americans expressing approval of his handling of the presidency. His prior second-term low point in approval was a statistically similar 37% in July, and his all-time low was 34% in 2021, at the end of his first term after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

Turns out making incels on U-politics happy isn't a great way to govern or garner popularity with people who actually live lives and have friends.

In an ideal world, Trump would have viewed his reelection as an opportunity for redemption and would have toned down all of the bullshit that he did during his first term.

Instead, he's doubled down on all of its worst aspects.

Unified Democratic rule in 2029 is going to suck hard, but the GOP is doing everything in its power to make the voters want that.

Trump says every poll by news is fake (including Fox ones) & that the 'real' polls are "GREAT!" (w/ him choosing not to show any 'real' ones as he's too humble)

...(the humble thing not part of his claim, just must be the case, as why wouldn't he show the 'real' polls that totally exist)

Please, the dems will have like 52 Senate seats in 2029 and will be lucky to undo half the shit Trump has done.

There's no sign that people have wised up on Trump enough to vote against Republicans.

I'd be glad if Independents could run in red states and we could have a block of 5-10 of them be the determining vote.

Fuck MAGA and Fuck Republicans for bringing us here with their propaganda machine.

It never seems to fall below 38% though. All the MAGA are so enamoured with him in their misinformation bubble. All the CherubCows are so happy chasing fake terrorist illegal murderers with vigilante ICE agents.

"In an ideal world, Trump would have viewed his reelection as an opportunity for redemption and would have toned down all of the bullshit that he did during his first term."

Trump is not capable of such a thing. People don't drastically change at age 79. That cake has been baked for at least 3 decades ... and possibly since day 1.

Murder

There's a reason why I didnt support him in the primaries.

The Democratic Party's and allied activist groups' leaderships should all be defenestrated for intentionally boosting Trump because "he'll be easier to run against in the general."

If Trump is proving anything, the president doesn't really need Congress to do anything.

The short-sidedness of it all is insane. Trump is pushing Unitary Exective Theory and wants to nuke the filibuster. Just imagine if he gets his way and 2029 sees President Newsom and a 52-strong Democratic Senate majority.

The entire nation will be Californicated by the end of the 2020s.

Dukhat, That's a.giant douche and a turd sandwhich of choices.

I'm hoping for a Dem controlled congress for midterms.

So we can stop this immigration BS.

I get mitigating illegal immigration enmasse...like we can all agree that causes problems.

But, I don't know the cost benefit analysis of these deportations, and I certainly think the ICE raids are a net negative....even with the deterrence effect.

Also, stopping Mexicans I get, not Africans...were not the EU where the opposite would atleast make sense.

President, uh, Rubio I guess, a small Democratic House majority and a small GOP Senate majority.

We all could still find plenty of things to get enraged about...but a scenario like that would be a step up from what we have at present.
