It isn't about truth, or profit, or anything. Everyone is locked in. The money is gonna flow where it has to flow, regardless. But they can't possibly play into the reality of the situation (people speaking out, trying to vote with their wallets, etc). The illusion can't be dropped because then it legitimizes the criticism. Not yet anyways. I figure 4 more presidential terms.

I can't tell if box office numbers are a sign of interest or a big fuck you protest to the left who desperately wanted this to face plant.
