No debate, no votes from Congress, no accountability.

Most military assets in Middle East since Iraq war.

Also no clear demands or realistic goals other than regime change.

it's His way

(also his golf buddy w/ no diplomatic experience who's now seemingly our only 'diplomat' said "They’re probably a week away from having industrial-grade bombmaking material" on Faux... remember when Trump said he completely obliterated their nuclear program & anything suggesting otherwise was fake news...)

"no votes from Congress"

Not voting to stop it is tacit approval.

"Also no clear demands or realistic goals other than regime change."

Regime change is both clear and realistic.

Yeah regime change is the clear goal. This only goes bad for trump if iran sinks some of our armada. Not saying that won't happen but it's very unlikely, far more likely is we topple the regime and help prop up a nonislamic pro west government.

The odds of them sinking a ship is quite low. They might not get a single plane.

The highest chance of this going wrong is to hit the ayatolla but not quite pull off the regime change, or to replace him with chaos and terrorism. The Iranian people are significantly more educated and intelligent than the average Muslim though so odds are this will be closer to postwar Germany and Japan rather than say other interventions but it still might not work.

We shall see.

"Not voting to stop it is tacit approval."

Its a tacit sign of weakness and frankly cowardness.

"Regime change is both clear and realistic."

If you listen to Trump and war hawks this has something to do with nuclear deal, missile program, human rights, or protesters.
Change to what exactly? The get bombed enough the protesters take over.

Lul. After Syria and Libya, Democrats are now crying about Congressional approval again.

It's only war if they can hit back.

So no.

Congress is utterly irrelevant.

When it's controlled by the president's party, it's a pure rubberstamp for the president. When it's controlled by the opposition to the president, it engages in theatrics to show how much they oppose the president without doing anything to actually check him.

This current gaggle of Trump dicksuckers in Congress are especially pathetic in terms of their blind fealty to the president at the expense of their own constitutional powers, but this is a bipartisan problem and one that only gets worse with each successive administration.

Regime change is clear and realistic?

You cant even identify the regime. The cleric you want to kill is a moral authority with the legal framework to block regime initiatives like say developing a nuclear arsenal. He wrote a Fatwa forbidding it. Not terribly unlike how your supreme court blocks stuff and writes legal and moral justifications for that.

Fixating on a dude pushing towards 100. Iran is actually a republic, so you might want to mention their president more in these imaginary target lists.
