It takes common fools, tricks them into personalizing a specific algorithmic identity, and then lures them with fake/half truth content (of which AI plays a bigger and bigger roll in) into believing absolutely anything that echoes in their echo chamber, and eventually creates extremist fools out of them. Considering I'm pretty sure at least half the human population qualify as common fools that's a big problem for the foundation of a stable nation/culture.
