I love how you frame this so that you can claim you were right no matter what happens. lol No matter what happens with Iran state leaders, I don't get the sense the population in general will react with over throwing their military power structure while under attack, or it would have happened already. Which means we are far more likely to see a shitty, rushed US ground invasion (and US conscription) due to the massive unpopularity of the war and size of the ground force required vs Iran changing administrative state significantly from the inside. If this happens the US casualties will be the greatest since Vietnam with all the FPV and munition dropping drone maiming and killing Iran has surely prepared for by watching Ukraine. Oh, and lets not even get further into the future where pretty much every state no matter what the size will be seeking nuclear weapons, as it seems the only way to keep a psycho super power from blowing you up on a whims of a billionaire.
