rank | Tue Apr 14 06:10:03 I'm not even going to argue the US policy has a leg to stand here, working conditions are pretty shot here outside of sales, pay is relatively shifty. Yeah, it's super cheap to but abroad on our pay, but the cost of living compared to pay is not good at all. Germany gets IIRC two months a year off, mandatory PTO, kind of jealous. I'm debating whether to stay in my job, pay actually isn't that bad and it mostly sounds good on paper, but they are really big on wanting you move around ALOT at the drop of the hat, so, your paying another more for accommodations, which yes they give you a per diem, company car and put you up in a hotel for a month +$4-6500 lump sum to move, but you may move to a far flung city for 6 months, but per our union contract they only have to give 24 hr notice that your moving, we all know it's coming up, but the details they tell us with a few days notice like "Hey I need you to train ppl in Atlanta or Michigan." |
