Struggling shoe retailer Allbirds makes bizarre pivot to AI, adds $127 million in value

Chinese business model.

None of the companies making Chinese llm models (or most anyways) are tech companies.

One is a major grocery chain, but they have competing investments with one of the tech companies, so got into AI to steal their thunder.
