What will the US do: stop following through on commitments, maintain sanctions but ignore the fact Iran is also moving to status-quo-ante but with the US defacto accepting Iranian transit fees regime? I can see that. (Though you call this a win when you apply it to your side of the 1812 war) Reinstating the blockade and screwing the global economy? Unlikely. That also wasn't working and it fucks up too. The humiliation is unavoidable at this point. No deal as a cover for the US slinking away is possible. A resumption to full hostilities in the short term? Nah.
