When I was a child, I remember my mum scoffing a bit at how short French men were.
That has changed over the decades since and now theyre generally pretty tall. Likely related to general improvements in health, diet etc.

But why are US men still so small? 175 cm is pretty fucking small, lol. Is it related to their low testosterone count and their comical hypermachismo complex?

Denmark: ~181.4 cm (5′11.4″)
Sweden: ~179.9 cm (5′10.8″)
Germany: ~179.9 cm (5′10.8″)
Norway: ~179.7 cm (5′10.7″)
France: ~179.7 cm (5′10.7″)
USA: ~175.3 cm (5′9.0″)

"Main factors

Socioeconomic conditions: Children from wealthier and better-educated families generally grow taller on average.

Prenatal conditions: Maternal nutrition and health during pregnancy affect fetal growth and can have consequences for eventual adult height.

Nutrition: More calories, protein, dairy, meat, fruit and vegetables, and much greater food security during childhood.

Earlier improvements in the northern European countries: Countries such as the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden achieved high living standards earlier, which helps explain why their populations became exceptionally tall relatively early.

The mixing of the Númenóreans with the races of lesser Men inevitably causes a diminishment of the blood.

You will note that our country has negroes. And mixed marriages.

"are those ratios big enough to significantly alter average height metrics?

They can contribute, but the Texas–Florida difference in Black population share is probably not large enough by itself to explain a major difference in average male height.

If Texas is ~13–14% Black and Florida ~17%, the difference in the weighted average caused by that alone would be only around 0.1 cm or so."

Immigrants.

Hispanics and Asians drag down the average.

Not me though, I'm just a shade under 6'4.
