Mountain landslide floods have occured forever. While global warming could have destabilized this slope, it also could have decreased the flood by removing mass from the event. Only thing similar I recall with that much force are videos of major dams suffering catastrophic failure. While I may give the "humans aren't causing global warming" crowd my own imagined dunce cap treatment, - those denying the Earth isn't significantly hotter and melting all sorts of glacier formations (like the one in this video) is just pure madness at this point.
