The US and Denmark sign an agreement on Greenland.

The US and Denmark have reached an agreement regarding Greenland, Donald Trump writes on Truth Social. According to the president, the US will now immediately begin developing a major military presence on the island.

The Danish Prime Minister's Office states that the United States, Denmark, and Greenland are expected to sign the agreement next week, in conjunction with a meeting of the UN General Assembly.
"An agreement that strengthens our shared security in the Arctic and the North Atlantic region, and is therefore also beneficial for NATO and Europe," says Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in a press release.

At the same time, the agreement is to recognize Denmark’s "sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the Greenlandic people's right to self-determination."

"It is to the benefit of us all," says Greenland’s Head of Government, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, in the statement.
Greenland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Múte B. Egede, states that the agreement reflects what they had demanded in negotiations with the US from the very beginning.

"Greenland’s self-determination is recognized, and the Greenlandic population is recognized in accordance with international law," the former Head of Government tells DR.

Trump: "Major military presence"

Once signed, the agreement must undergo the necessary parliamentary processes before it can enter into force.

Donald Trump, however, writes:

"We will immediately begin developing a major military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland."

He also states that no US adversaries may have a base or military presence on the island without the express approval of the United States. He further describes the agreement as being very long-term:

"This is an agreement with an unlimited lifespan—it has no end!"

So this is basically a permanent military occupation. Now, it is all of a sudden ”to the benefit of us all”. No, this is bs. The resistance will not rest until the US mafia is gone.

Maybe China can offer Denmark and Greenland a better deal? The US can’t offer anything. Just look at how the US failed to protect and defend the Gulf states. lol
