Or maybe we can capture a British citizen and exchange him for Russell? https://ed...ll-brand-trial-verdict-uk-intl Actor and comedian Russell Brand found guilty of rape and sexual assault London — British actor, comedian and media personality Russell Brand faces a lengthy prison sentence after he was found guilty in a London court on Thursday of raping a young fan and sexually assaulting three women. Brand, 51, was convicted of raping the fan in 2009 after they met at one of his shows in west London. He was also found guilty of groping an MTV worker at a bar in central London in 2004, kissing and groping another woman at her workplace in 2005 and sexually assaulting another woman in 2009 when she was forced to give him a massage. At Southwark Crown Court on Thursday, a jury of eight men and four women cleared the star of two separate charges of rape and one count of attempted indecent assault, after deliberating for around eight and a half hours. Speaking after the verdicts were delivered, judge Joel Bennathan said the case was “very well prepared,” according to Britain’s Press Association, adding that sentencing would take place on Monday. Brand, who stood straight in the dock as the verdicts were revealed and closed his eyes as he heard he was found guilty of rape, has been remanded in custody. “The consequence of that is inevitably a significant custodial term,” Bennathan said. Brand “used his influence, status and fame to exploit and sexually offend against women,” London’s Metropolitan Police Service said following the comedian’s conviction. “As his profile grew, so too did his sense of entitlement. I hope this conviction sends a clear message that no one is above the law, no matter how famous or powerful they may be,” Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy said in a statement. |

rank | Thu Nov 05 22:31:39 It figures that Sam - who knows every single sex offender in the UK who is a minority by name and will follow their case from apprehension through to conviction and appeal and post about them obsessively here - has never heard of this one even though his crimes are both prolific and he is pretty high profile. |

rank | Fri Nov 06 17:42:28 Gee, I can't imagine why someone would care less about *checks notes* a white "rapist" fondling the tit of a girl giving him a blowjob, than a teenager getting gangbanged in the bushes by a pack of third-worlders. |

Maybe you shouldn't rely on the notes of *checks notes* rapists. - |

rank | Fri Nov 06 21:23:38 Maybe I can rely on the jury verdict, that found that the blowjob was consensual, but the groping was not. |

rank | Fri Nov 06 21:31:06 To be fair, it found that there was not enough evidence proving the blowjob was non-consensual beyond reasonable doubt. A civic trial might determine what the balance of probability is. |

rank | Sat Nov 07 00:01:09 they didn't find it was consensual, as jergul said, just didn't convict him on the alleged forced oral sex it's not unlike w/ Trump where Jean alleged he put Toad in too but they only found liable for fingers |

rank | Sat Nov 07 09:12:57 It's very telling that Forwyn is focusing on one count with one woman where he wasn't convicted and not the various other charges and other women he was. Very much the expected "Save our women (for us)" vibe the far right (who are statistically far more likely to be convicted of sexual violence and abuse than the general population). |

rank | Sat Nov 07 15:08:33 As three of the four charges are muhhh groping, it's telling that one of the three involves a woman who sucked his cock in a bathroom stall right after. And all three are based on nothing but testimony twenty years later. The one rape charge is a case of consensual sex but he stuck it in her butt. This does indeed follow a trend. You ignore savage violent rape by your imports and point at cases of rich white men being weird and having consent issues with strange whores. You legitimate think that Assange pulling off a condom during consensual sex is exactly the same as a jogger being accosted and dragged in the bushes. You cry about muh Cornell 7 but ignore two hispanics drugging, raping, and killing a Manhattan student. |
