Because it's easier on the person running it if the main thread doesn't get cluttered up with our nonsense.

Anyone who picks against Dallas is smart.

I dunno, chicago is real bad. they lost to detroit till the refs jewed/blowjobbed/swedened the game.

chicago's offensive line is real bad. sadly, it's so terrible that cutler looks worse than normal and our running game has to make all of it's own plays.

the defense performed decently.

Dallas' defense is still pretty good. There werent any great underdog picks this week. Not many home dogs, and the few there are pathetic.

I dunno, I think cincy is a winner this week, but for 1 point it's not really worth taking.

I don't like picking SF really, but I can't really buy anything else that strongly.

Buf over GB is tempting because of the points, but I'm not picking against GB in their home opener.

if the chi/dallas was a betting line, I'd take chi easily. but since chi has to actually win the game it kind of loses attractiveness.

The Dallas D against a team that loves to turn the ball over. I predict a couple of int-returned for TDs in that game.

I took Seattle just because they usually start strong, and they succumb to old age and injury as the year goes along.

And kc CLE +1 is probably the lock of the week, but why bother for 1 point? Cleveland is starting Seneca Wallace at QB.

Bet the farm on KC in that game...

fuck I know Smith kinda sucks, but how many times is he going to kill them with ints?

That game was there for SF, and they just gave it fucking away.

I only saw the tipped pick. Not entirely Smith's fault. Was the other one really bad?

It was.

Gunned it at a guy in the flat, too high.

Though he played better at the end, but still...

Renzo- what's the deal with anonymous picks? What week do they become allowed?

And btw, who the hell would possibly pick Minnesota to cover the spread against Detroit?

Do people actually want anonymous picks? It's much easier just to post picks here.

Anon was reserved for last couple weeks for the leaders to prevent gamesmanship.

I really wanted to pick Carolina over Cinci, but couldnt trust a rookie QB in his first ever game. I'll probably regret it.

You don't find it tempting to pick the Lions over the Vikings?
Dakyron

Why? The Lion's QB is hurt, the backup is playing. They have the worst pass defense in the league, and they have won twice in the last 32 games they have played. Meanwhile, they are facing an 0-2 team that is desperate and playing at home. The same team that went to the NFC championship last year and returned basically everyone.

Its very tempting to root against Favre and hope he goes 0-3, but I'll probably do that anyway.

I'd absolutely take the Lions and the points, but not to win outright.

i dont like agreeing with dakyron, but that sounds right.

i meen favre sucks, but he doesnt suck as much as the lions.

The nfl is really fucked up this year to the point where I might as well just pick a game at random.

Fucking janikowski blew my pick... missing 3 FG's in a 1-point game is pretty nasty (though I guess the 58 yarder can be forgiven).

I've got a question on the NFL... apart from the double matchups vs the division rivals, how does the schedule get made?
Dakyron

They alternate what other divisions the team plays. And then they play the team that finished in the same division rank(IE: 3rd of 4 teams in division) in two of the other divisions. The next year, the divisions are rotated.

IE: Miami Dolphins are in the AFC East, and finsihed 3rd out of the 4 teams.
This is an example, and not refelctive of their actual 2010 schedule.

2010 Schedule
- 6 games vs AFC East
- 4 games vs NFC East
- 4 games vs AFC North
- 1 game vs 3rd place team in NFC West
- 1 game vs 3rd place team in AFC South

2011 Schedule (assuming they finish 3rd in AFC east again)
- 6 games vs AFC East
- 4 games vs NFC West
- 4 games vs AFC South
- 1 game vs 3rd place team in NFC South
- 1 game vs 3rd place team in AFC West
