FFXV is somewhat of an honorable mention, but I don't have any hopes after FFXIII... and they made 3 in the FFXIII series. I don't think I'm in their new target audience.

No Man's Sky. Coming out in a few weeks!

Also interested in Horizon: Zero Dawn, but I lack a PS4, so unless those drop dramatically in price, I'm probably not playing hzd :/

No Man's Sky has too much hype for me to believe it will be anything other than a mess. I like the concept, though!

Oh nice, hadn't heard of that one and I'm excited now, too, Obsidian Entertainment is top notch.

It's not only Obsidian, it's also Paradox. So, 2 quality companies! Sadly, no release date yet.

Also did not know that KotOR 2 was Obsidian's first game. Pretty good for both the time constraints that forced a rushed released and their first try.

I thought Paradox Interactive was only the publisher, but I've heard good things about Paradox Development Studio.

Did you play the KotOR MMO? (I didn't) Wish they'd make a single player experience but I think the MMO is still pumping content and tying up the creative force behind KotOR...

I never played ToR, no. I have read some of the lore that the game established though, and it seemed somewhat dumb. Bioware's attempt to stomp out any/all of Obsidian's lore additions made a right mess of things.

Oh yeah, that was Bioware, I guess Obsidian's busy making old school cRPGs. I'm okay with this, but another KotOR would be splendid. Maybe they'll make one around the next Star Wars release hype... :fingerscrossed:

A new KotOR would be much appreciated. Hell, KotOR: the prequel! Make it about the mandalorian wars. You could even play as revan for a second time!

'Twas the night before No Man's Sky, and all through the 'net,
Not a gamer was neutral, their opinions were set.
They had divided in tribes split right down the middle,
In hopes that their side would be victorious in the quibble.
The fanboys were nestled snuggly aboard the hype train,
While naysayers tweeted curses (a familiar refrain).
And Sean in his plaid and I barely dressed,
had just settled down for a quick pre-launch rest.
When out on the Reddits there arose such a clatter,
I leaned forward in my ergonomic chair to see what was the matter.
Minimizing some windows, my mouse nearly took flight,
I opened a new tab and pulled up the site.
My shitty comcast internet and the speed it was lacking,
Made the page's slow loading even more nerve-wracking
And what did I find in lieu of useful news?
A shitstorm of arguing and poorly-informed views.
Some idiot had purchased, for a ridiculous sum,
A leaked copy of the game. The waters were chummed!
More rapid than anti-SJW tirades the comments they came,
The upvotes could not keep up with the downvote brigade.
"Fuck you!" "Fuck him!" "I'll find you and kill you!"
"It's full of bugs!" "Incomplete!" "Seriously, I'll fucking kill you!"
"This proves my point of view! The game is real [bad/sweet]!
I win the argument, you've all been [had/beat]!"
"No Man's Sky is a sham, you'll never appease us!"
"You're all retards! Sean is literally Jesus."
One twitter user in particular, though Sean tried to sate her,
buried him under a mountain of bullshit (he'd rise three days later).
So onto the Twitters, the fanboys they flew,
Armed with ad-hominem! Oh, the bile they would spew!
The haters, the doubters, and all of those fellers,
Joined the Twitter war with the rest o' the basement dwellers.
What could end this war? Why was everyone upset?
How could a game elicit so many death threats?
As I closed my laptop, now thoroughly jaded,
I heard the approach of a spaceship (fully upgraded).
He was dressed all in plaid, his beard long, his face grim,
The Twitter war was silenced, all eyes were on him.
Sean looked down upon us, the brash and the bold,
And down his furry cheek, a single tear rolled.
"No Man's Sky isn't just a game," his voice rang out clear.
We fell to our knees, our hands trembling in fear.
"A rudimentary simulation, not a toy, not a quest,
A facade for my true purpose: a very simple test."
"For you see the TRUE game, my greatest creation,
Is THIS universe, the result of divine procedural generation."
"I wished to see if you were worthy, I thought that you might be.
But instead you hurled insults and insisted you'd fight me."
"Death threats and insults all over some game?
Your world's gone to shit and YOU shoulder the blame."
"You thrive on conflict, seek out adversaries,
Then attack them like infants with obscene vocabularies."
"You form strong opinions before the game's even in stores,
I would have taken you with me... this sky could have been yours..."
"Just kidding" he winked at fans and haters alike.
"Here's a day one patch" and dropped the fucking mic.

They pushed the entire fucking PC release back to the 12th. Yet the PS4 NA release is still 8/9...

For anyone wondering, Tyranny is pretty decent so far. Not the straight baldurs gate style replica game, but it seems like a good mutation of it.

One if the things I like most about tyranny so far is that you get rewarded for most of your choices, whether it's being ruthless, merciful, or uncaring. At the same time, those decisions will also be detrimental to you in alternate ways. This can open or close options for you in the future by swaying your deeds and relationships within your party and with factions. It's much better than other faction systems I've seen.

And I want Yooka-Laylee to come out.

This may not come out until late 2018, but it looks neat:

We should get a UGT group together for some Steam gaming action.
