Space dwarves making it to the future only to continue mining is a nice touch :D Aragami reminds me a lot of Thief, which I liked. Just sneaking everywhere. And –80% is nice :D Steam recommends Destiny 2, but I don't really like that game feel.. even if it's "free" ;p Also getting Dead Space 2&3 ($5 and $6).. so maybe I should actually *play* the first one :) Btw, some of these games come up under "TheRadBrad"'s YouTube channel when I search for gameplay footage. That guy is a little too annoying for gameplay demos.. He sounds like that Will Ferrell voice immodulation character ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDgez8QDAKo ) ;) .. "Heisenberg?" could actually be inspired by him anyway :p" Oo! That and/or "The Jackal" (1997), which has an a55a&&in@t1on attempt at the end which uses a remote-controlled weapon. I'm kind of surprised that that never caught on in a big way.. Or just combining the 1835 1nf3rnal machin3 with modern RC technology. I guess there just haven't been that many intelligent/capable people willing to do something that crazy ;) |

Quasheda Pierce, 39, was burying her son Sincere Pierce at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Cocoa when a 16-year-old attending the service accidentally discharged a concealed gun, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said. The bullet went through the 16-year-old’s leg and struck the mother of the deceased, leaving her and the teen with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. |

Vehicles can still survive on three, though, and I don't think it triggers the car to flip or anything. But car physics tend to be awful and unpredictable. Whatever engine they used to make Arma/DayZ doesn't handle mass and fast objects very well, though they've gotten a lot better with each update (most really bad glitches seem to be in older videos). I mean, it shakes me to the core thinking about what I did to all those children—endorsing the Subway Kids’ Pak as a nutritious alternative to a real meal is an atrocity that no one should ever be subjected to. It was completely fucked up. When I finally get out of here, I swear I’ll never do something as obscene as shill for Subway ever again.” A teary-eyed Fogle also told reporters that he just hoped his own sordid criminal past would inspire others to avoid turning to a life of selling Subway products." |

the wanderer | Tue Dec 15 17:58:15 HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A former Houston Police Department Captain was arrested and charged for running a man off the road and pointing a gun at his head in an attempt to prove claims of a massive voter fraud scheme in Harris County, according to a news release from the Harris County's DA's office. Mark Anthony Aguirre, 63, was arrested by Houston police Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. "He crossed the line from dirty politics to commission of a violent crime, and we are lucky no one was killed," Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said. "His alleged investigation was backward from the start - first alleging a crime had occurred and then trying to prove it happened." According to court documents, Aguirre told police that he was part of a group of private citizens called the "Liberty Center," who were conducting a civilian investigation into the alleged ballot scheme. According to Aguirre, he had been conducting surveillance for four days on a man who was allegedly the mastermind of a giant voter fraud scheme. Aguirre told authorities the man was hiding 750,000 fraudulent ballots in a truck he was driving. Instead, the victim turned out to be an innocent air conditioner repairman, court documents said. <cont'd> http://abc...ssault-liberty-center/8802235/ |

Member | Thu Dec 24 01:58:05 I took a risk explaining this on Imgur ( https://imgur.com/gallery/RgPGAgr ), but I'm expecting downvotes simply for clarifying the misrepresentation that this guy was stopped for rolling up his window :p (Dillon Puente arrest BodyCam) [My comment]: "Slightly more BodyCam context: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGyX-u2S4OY ; (Warning; do not confuse this explanation for an excuse of the officer’s behavior). Dillon Puente was stopped for an illegal “wide right turn”. After being stopped, he rolled up his window to ¾ closed (FYI, this obstructs an officer’s view and can increase suspicion of a weapon; windows typically remain down during traffic stops). I.e., the stop was not due to the window being raised (that occurred afterwards), it was due to the wide right turn." On Imgur, even a small explanation like this can result in being called a "bootlicker", so lurkers usually just let the low level discourse continue there without interacting.. (And for the record, this officer messed up. Another case of low communication ability and making decisions based on ego. If he had explained why he was nervous about the window, then he would likely have gotten different results altogether.) |

Member | Thu Dec 24 21:48:00 "the arrest of the father in the last half of video seems more troubling" Definitely. That was all ego by the officer. The father just standing there recording should have had zero bearing on the officer's decisions, but it looked like the officer was angry and was looking for a way to make an arrest just because someone was questioning his actions. .. Currently making the social media rounds..: Ohio gas station altercation results in strike to the face with iced tea can: (WARNING: audio is NSFW) http://twitter.com/i/status/1342002633679097858 This seems to be an example of the *intended* difference between "nigga" and "nigger". White hood rats, crack addicts, the homeless, and/or wiggers adopt "nigga" in the same speech that many black Americans do: as a substitute for "my brother", "friend", "dude", "bro", etc. The iced tea attacker, on the other hand, took a white person saying, "nigga," as *calling* him a "nigger" (an intentionally racial epithet), which preempted a violent response. This is one of those inflexible, cultural semantic oddities of the States. It's a case of protected speech existing only within socially regimented identity groups. So, not only is it just accepted by the U.S. Zeitgeist that only black Americans can say, "Nigga" ("bro"), without it meaning, "Nigger" (racial epithet), but the programing runs so deep that honor culture then demands a violent response just from hearing the word used by an out-group member. Simply saying one word can provoke a seriously asymmetric response. That's like the mythical power given to the gods of religion where a word creates a reality ("And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light."). So, anyways, nothing but losers here. The intoxicated man for instigating and the attacker for choosing to respond to words with violence. Each of them at best the king of a convenience store for one brief moment in time. ;) |

Payday 2 is 90% off (now $0.99), so that's an easy purchase. Dark Souls III (–75%; now $14.99).. hmm.. I think I've considered getting those before but changed my mind :p |

I've been muted by two Imgurians this week, so, I suppose you could say things have been going swimmingly there ;) The reason this time was that someone made a post with a description saying, "This will get lost in user sub but..." which is an auto-downvote (one of those informal rules of Imgur that most people observe), so I posted, "“This will get lost in user sub” = -1", and someone got mad at me and started flaming, then called me a troll and muted me :p Anyways, despite all the D.C. posts on Imgur, this kneading cat made it through: http://imgur.com/gallery/Bq0p81t |

the wanderer | Fri Jan 08 22:54:17 " John Dillermand has an extraordinary penis. So extraordinary, in fact, that it can perform rescue operations, etch murals, hoist a flag and even steal ice-cream from children. The Danish equivalent of the BBC, DR, has a new animated series aimed at four- to eight-year-olds about John Dillermand, the man with the world’s longest penis who overcomes hardships and challenges with his record-breaking genitals. Unsurprisingly, the series has provoked debate about what good children’s television should – and should not – contain. Since premiering on Saturday, opponents have condemned the idea of a man who cannot control his penis. “Is this really the message we want to send to children while we are in the middle of a huge #MeToo wave?” wrote the Danish author Anne Lise Marstrand-Jørgensen. The show comes just months after the TV presenter Sofie Linde kickstarted Denmark’s #MeToo movement. Christian Groes, an associate professor and gender researcher at Roskilde University, said he believed the programme’s celebration of the power of male genitalia could only set equality back. “It’s perpetuating the standard idea of a patriarchal society and normalising ‘locker room culture’ … that’s been used to excuse a lot of bad behaviour from men. It’s meant to be funny – so it’s seen as harmless. But it’s not. And we’re teaching this to our kids.” Erla Heinesen Højsted, a clinical psychologist who works with families and children, said she believed the show’s opponents may be overthinking things. “John Dillermand talks to children and shares their way of thinking – and kids do find genitals funny,” she said. “The show depicts a man who is impulsive and not always in control, who makes mistakes – like kids do, but crucially, Dillermand always makes it right. He takes responsibility for his actions. When a woman in the show tells him that he should keep his penis in his pants, for instance, he listens. Which is nice. He is accountable.” Højsted conceded the timing was poor and that a show about bodies might have considered depicting “difference and diversity” beyond an oversized diller (Danish slang for penis; dillermand literally means “penis-man”). “But this is categorically not a show about sex,” she said. “To pretend it is projects adult ideas on it.” DR, the Danish public service broadcaster, has a reputation for pushing boundaries – especially for children. Another stalwart of children’s scheduling is Onkel Reje, a popular figure who curses, smokes a pipe and eschews baths – think Mr Tumble meets Father Jack. A character in Gepetto News made conservatives bristle in 2012 when he revealed a love of cross-dressing. And Ultra Smider Tøjet (Ultra Strips Down) caused outrage in 2020 for presenting children aged 11-13 with a panel of nude adults, but, argues Højsted, such criticism was unjustified. “What kind of culture are we creating for our children if it’s OK for them to see ‘perfect’ bodies on Instagram – enhanced, digitally or cosmetically – but not ‘real bodies’?” she said. DR responded to the latest criticism by saying it could just as easily have made a programme “about a woman with no control over her vagina” and that the most important thing was that children enjoyed John Dillermand. " http://www...ldrens-tv-show-man-giant-penis photo of guy at link... i find his mustache most disturbing "could just as easily have made a programme about a woman with no control over her vagina" i doubt that... what wacky things happen then? |

It's like the old TV programming issue for the Internet Age.. like.. you get home from a 9–5 job, then there's Friends, Fraser, Simpson's, or whatever is prime time for that day. Then you have to consume the late shows, then it's bed time.. so most of the time goes to consuming media and not a lot goes to digesting or responding to it. The commute may be the only time some people have :p .. We need to begin discussing the crack epidemic facing our inner city kitties: http://imgur.com/gallery/Nly83Ve |
